Embark on an unforgettable 3-day journey from Ouarzazate into the heart of Morocco. Visit world-famous film studios, explore traditional Berber villages, and wander through centuries-old kasbahs. Along the way, admire breathtaking natural wonders like the Dades Gorge and Todra Gorge. The adventure continues through lush oases and into the vast Sahara Desert, where you’ll encounter the dunes of Erg Chebbi near Merzouga, Erg Lihoudi in Mhamid, and the towering Chegaga dunes — the largest in southern Morocco.
Depart in the morning along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Visit the lush Skoura palm grove and the historical Amridil Kasbah. Continue to Rose Valley and Kelaa M’gouna before following the Boutghrar track to meet nomadic families in cave dwellings and pass through Berber villages. End the day in the magnificent Dades Gorges for dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.
Begin your day after breakfast with a visit to the impressive Todra Gorge, featuring dramatic 300m high rock faces. Next, explore the Berber culture museum in Tinjdad (lkhourbat). After lunch, travel towards Erfoud, known for its ancient fossils, and finally reach the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. Enjoy a traditional camel trek to your desert camp for an overnight experience with half-board.
Witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Merzouga desert before a camel ride back for breakfast. Your journey then takes you to Rissani (Tafilalet), a historically significant city. Travel through Alnif, the Tazarine oasis, and N’Kob, where you'll have lunch. The drive to Ouarzazate features the remarkable Draa Valley, the planet's largest palm oasis, offering a striking contrast of lush vegetation and desert life. Pass through the Berber village of Agdez and over the scenic Tizi-n-Ait Saoune pass (1660m) to reach Ouarzazate for the night.
