Depart Fes in the morning, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, nicknamed “Little Switzerland,” then continue to the Cedar Forest of Azrou to spot Barbary macaques. Travel through scenic landscapes and Berber villages, with lunch in Midelt. Arrive in Merzouga for dinner, live Saharan music, and overnight at a kasbah.

(Activities include desert exploration, camel trekking, sandboarding, and time with local nomads.)

Drive through the breathtaking Todra Gorge and Dades Valley, with opportunities for short walks and photography before spending the night in a local guesthouse or hotel.

 

Visit the cinematic city of Ouarzazate, home to famous film studios, before exploring Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah with a licensed guide. Continue through the High Atlas to arrive in Marrakech.
